We've been hit with an onslaught of new Roots music lately, and I'm happier about it than Tiger Woods at a XXX film festival. Yesterday we got hit with a Roots/Clipse collabo and a Mos Def/Roots collabo, and today Philly's finest has released their "Late Night with the Roots"mixtape. Featuring live performances from the likes of Ludacris, Raekwon, Mos Def, Q-Tip and many more, this is already my pick for mixtape of the year (and yeah, I know it's January).

I'm not sure you truly comprehend what's happening here. We basically have a brand new live Roots album, featuring appearances from just about every rapper you'd want to hear rock with The Roots. Seriously, let that sink in for a sec...exactly. Thank ya Jesus.
