This K. Roosevelt “RoseGold” EP is Pretty Damn Good (Listen & Download) Posted by Nathan S. on 01/10/13 | Filed under Downloads, Mixtapes, K. Roosevelt

In the era of the interwebs there are a thousand, often extremely complicated, ways to get your music out there. But the most powerful way continues to be the oldest; word of mouth. When someone you know and respect says, "You have to listen to this shit", nothing's going to top that.

So when the homie DJ Z said, "Yo, you should take a listen to this K. Roosevelt EP", I did, and he was right. This is pretty damn good. I've heard Roosevelt as a guest on tracks from Game, BJ the Chicago Kid and more, but never really took the time to listen. Problem solved. There's nothing groundbreaking on "RoseGold", but in an age where everyone's trying to copy that Frank Ocean/Weeknd, super drugged out sound, it's actually refreshing to hear someone just do some really solid R&B.

The nine track project features guest appearances by Mibbs (of Pac Div) and Hit-Boy, while Roosevelt handles the production duties himself. Enjoy, and if you don't like it, feel free to blame DJ Z.
