I’ve been called crazy for making this claim before, most recently on Joell Ortiz’ previous feature "‘80s Baby", but for my money, the Brooklyn microphone destroyer is Slaughterhouse’s best emcee. Budden may be deeper, Crooked may be stronger and Royce may be crazier, but no one drops more consistently dope records than Joell. Go ahead, listen to this new leak free EP "Farewell Summer" and tell me I’m wrong.

"Farewell Summer" features guest work from Talib Kweli, Jean Grae, Brother Ali and Sheek Louch, as well as production from The Audible Doctor, Don Cannon, DJ Premier and Frank Dukes. The EP is technically a prelude to his "Free Agent" album and "YAOWA" mixtape, but given the frequent delays, at this point I'm just hoping both projects drop before the end of times.

@SmokinAces I agree completely Budden is the most talented. But something has to be said for consistency, and Budden releases a dope track once a month, if we're lucky, while Ortiz releases a dope track everyday.

To use a sport analogy, would you rather have a guy who only bats 100, but every time he makes contact it's a home run, or a guy who bats 400 and has his fair share of singles and doubles?

There's no easy answer, but it's a close call.

SmokinAces	that's a good analogy. I can see where you coming from. But you know I gotta rep for Jersey. Definitely ain't saying Joell is wack by any means though
