Ladies and gents, get ready for one of RefinedHype’s best contests yet. Thanks to HP we’ll be giving away a brand new HP Envy 14 laptop!

The HP Envy 14 is one of HP’s premium laptops and retails for $999. At about five pounds and a little over an inch thick the HP Envy is the epitome of sleekness. The HP Envy also includes a 14.5” diagonal HD Radiance display.

As an added bonus, the HP Envy 14 features the Beats Audio program a must have for any music lover. Beats Audio allows the HP Envy user to hear music, through the Envy speakers or headphones, the way artists intended through an audio system that has re-engineered your average PC speakers. Aside from the HP Envy 14, Beats Audio is included on other HP products including the HP TouchSmart 600.

x20nickel	This would help me so much, not just with college, but also to help hear music the way anyone should with those beats sound system. It's also very hard for me working on an outdated computer to keep up with my websites with Windows Vista.

cutupmanor	My current computer crashes every ten minutes and I can't make beats anymore. It would also really help me out with my job for planning menus. I also write fiction...pretty much everything I do revolves around a computer. I'd probably bring about world peace if I won this contest.

I am an upcoming music journalist, so I always have hundreds of pictures, videos, and audio files to edit. However, my Compaq laptop made in 2005 only has 2 gigs of space left and completely freezes up when I even play videos. Right now I use my 8 year old little brother's laptop when I need to get work done, and with this envy, not only can I get school work, regular work, and my career back on track, but maybe even get some of my dignity back too.

I REEEAAALLLLYYYY need this lol..my old one crashed and I'm stuck using my dads whenever he lets me. It would make it so much easier to have this to get my online classes done as fast as possible being able to have this labtop. It would help me so much in getting my GPA up with this being able to get on whenever I want to do my classes. Also, I HATE not being able to download new songs and mixtapes into my ipod because I use to always use my old labtop for it. I dont want this labtop.. I NEED it..

I need this HP Envy laptop. The laptop i have is over 10 years old and i'm currently using it to produce beats for my upcoming mixtape (with Reason 4) I know the life of this computer is coming to an end very soon. The HP Envy would be the ultimate replacement and probably would speed up the production of my mixtape. Please? lol This will save me a year's worth of saving up (piss poor college student)

i really need this because the computer i am on now is really slow and old. i cant afford a laptop right now and i will need one for college later on. i have no money saved up for one and i am applying to jobs so i can have my own money to buy things i need like a laptop. money to buy a new laptop is money we dont have so until i get a job and earning my own money my parents wont be spending their money on items i need. this would be great if i get it!

I need this laptop because my 5 other laptops are ridden with pornographic viruses. In addition, having OCD, I am unable to mix and match applications the way some people can't mix foods. I have one laptop for Music, one laptop for work, one laptop for play, one laptop for my finances, one laptop for legal pornography (though this overlaps), and one laptop purely for communications. In order to complete my collection, I will need one laptop for my hobby, which is blow-torching electronics: I then store the videos of this happening on my play laptop. Thus the dilemma - i do not have laptop I can melt to rubbish for entertainment.

I really need this laptop. Mostly for school because my old laptop doesnt have microsoft office, has so many viruses that the internet rarely works, and is also missing a few keys. Almost as importantly, I need it to come on here, djbooth, and other sites like this to find great music, give my 2 cents, and also enjoy the random nonsense. Plus, my headphones just broke, and my laptop speakers are horrible. I basically dont get to judge a song until i listen to it in my car. This would make me love this site even more(which i didnt think was possible) and also enable me to get even more involved.

Why I need a computer.

I need the HP Envy 14 laptop! My mom takes almost every electronic I am given (except my Beats, THANKS AGAIN for them). I have not had my Mp3 player to myself in 8 months. I do have a computer but try managing to share that NETBOOK with TWO younger sisters and you couldn't even take it to my computer-media based school. YEa I'm a Junior now!!
I mean last night I was on Facebook and my mom came and just snatched it from me. You are probably wondering that if she will take my mp3 player, what would stop her from taking the HP? She doesn't take things I absolutely flip for. I made it clear that she wouldn't take my DiddyBeats without a fight (not a literal fight). And she gets really proud when I win things and get the things I work for.
When it comes down to it though I really need/want the computer for school.

Man... Having a new laptop would be like the greatest thing EVER! For starters I don't have a lap top or computer & haven't had one in a good 4yrs now. My old one crashed & I'm too poor to buy a new one... But winning one would definitely help get me back on track for school & be an awesome way for me to get back into the music scene as well as maybe even making my own music... As an incoming college student, I do not currently own a laptop and only have a desktop at home. Having this laptop would be really convenient and easier for me because I could take it to school and get work done there. Combined with its sleek design, I see it as a perfect laptop to carry around on the go. I was thinking about getting a laptop but right now I do not have the neccesary funds due to paying for books and other school supplies. It would also be nice to have a laptop with great sound quality because I have so many songs on my iTunes and I hate listening to songs on messed up speakers. I am what you might consider a hip-hop head and with this new laptop I can see and listen to Refined Hype easier and faster!

As a recent college graduate, I am finding it difficult to function without a computer. In college I had access to computers everywhere I went...now I have to go over to my brother's girlfriend's house to use one! Needless to say in today's society we function around computers whether it be to listen to the latest music on refinedhype/djbooth or to socialize. As a business major, I know how essential a laptop is, and not owning one (due to unsound financial stability) it is difficult for me to send out resumes, research jobs, keep in touch with friends, but more importantly listen to MUSIC and network. Winning this new HP Envy will strongly enhance my opportunities at tapping into new business ventures and echo my success. I NEED this laptop so I can play starcraft 2 (I mean write up papers for school) without my computer crashing...I bet it would look/sound awesome running on this computer. I can't afford to upgrade my computer which is a couple years old already, and a couple years in pc-terms means my computer is old and dated. I feel I really need this laptop as my dad was "going" to buy me a laptop, however he has recently lost his job and dropped the idea of it. I'm going into grade 11, I work at a prestigious school, and most teachers prefer electronic work to be done as opposed to hand-written, plus with my terrible hand writing, It'll help presentation of my work. I am also soon starting a DJ course with my friend (who's been doing it for about 15 months now) and a laptop designed FOR audio? Who wouldn't want it. This seems like a great opportunity. I feel i need this computer because beatmaking has always been a passion of mine and always been very confident in but in my current situation (job and family health problems) its almost been forgotten and i will never forget my dream, but I try and find as much time as i possibly can to make a sound or anything. With so much going on i haven't really had the time or money to invest into a new computer so at the moment to make a new sound all i have is mtv music generator on my old school dell so an upgrade is long overdue so this would be a blessing. not to mention Monday the 23rd will be my 23rd birthday lol kind of a coincedence but what a birthday that would be. My family has always been behind me no matter what but when i tell them i want to go to school to make music they don't take it seriously and try to help as if i were to say i want to go be a chef or another career. With this I could have a huge step in the right direction and show my family then hopefully get more support cause this is my dream. so please pick me. Thank You Guys

My reason for needing this super awesome computer is because my husband built a computer 10 years or longer ago from parts people gave him,we are still using this thing although it is so slow it is taking me a really long time to try and enter this contest!!I can't do anything without this joker freezing up! AHH!!! My husband mixes music and does sound on our computer for extra money,well he used to before this one got all messed up and needing lots of new parts.All I can say is that,I know lots of people are entering and my chances are not great but Heck having any chance is super terrific so thank you for that.Have a great week and maybe I will keep my fingers crossed! The reason I need a computer is because the past 3 that Ive had have all been broken when I loaned them to my mother while fixing her computers. I know I shouldve learned my lesson after the second time, but she's my mom and she has a great way of making me feel guilty for trying to do good. 2 reasons- On my 5th hand-me-down desktop and got my first baby on the way! Been using a Pentium 3 running Pro Tools and Reason 3.5. Almost impossible to bounce a song with no more than 10 tracks and no effects! Definitely time for an upgrade! And with a newborn on the way I don't see funds able to go towards a new computer. It would be great to be able to use this laptop for music and personal use like pictures, video etc. Thanks for the opportunity!!!! Peace!
