Goapele & Mos Def Sound “Different (Remix)” (Listen & Download)

One of the great things about being the editor RefinedHype (besides the wealth and legions of adoring fans) is that I can control what gets posted. So while 90% of the other sites out there are jabbering about what Drake had for breakfast or the latest ridiculous beef, instead we're going to spend a moment with Goapele's new Mos Def-assisted "Different (Remix)". For those who don't know, Goapele (pronounced "gwa-pah-lay") is a Bay Area singer who's not only gorgeous, but puts out gorgeous music; like her 2005 effort "Change It All", an album that gets my vote for one of the top ten r&b albums of the decade. Yes, I do have a bit of a crush on her, but like my feelings towards Alicia Keys, it's a crush that's only amplified by the quality of her music.

If you're already a Goapele fan you no doubt started downloading the track, and if you're new to her work, hopefully the Mos co-sign will convince you to take listen. And just to make sure I'm keeping the books in order, the original "Different" is off the aforementioned "Change It All" album and featured Clyde Carson. She's also got a new album, "Milk and Honey", coming out soon which I've been waiting for like the second coming of Christ, so like it or not you better believe you'll be getting updates.
