Freeway & Jake One Rise “Escalators” Style (Listen & Download)

Outkast rode the "Elevators", but Freeway prefers a more pedestrian form of transport. Gearing up once again to release a collab album with producer Jake One (their spring effort "The Stimulus Package" remains sadly slept on), the PHilly Freezer has followed up his last track "Beautiful Music" with the headphone-able "Escalators". Featuring yet another soulful beat from Jake, including a Biggie sample (from "You're Nobody"), Free once again goes in, proving that while he and Jake are an unlikely combination, their styles play off each other perfectly.

There's no word on a release date for the new album "Diamond in the Ruff", but I"ll be sure to update when one develops. Hopefully they won't get Luped and given some bullshit "March of next year" date. The game needs more of Free's actually real rap sooner rather than later. (That's not a typo, the official album title is "Ruff". No, I don't have any idea why either.)
