Best beard in the game? Check. Elite lyrical abilities? Check? Dope new mixtape? Check. Philly’s finest Freeway is back with his new Benja Styles-affiliated mixtape “The Calm Before the Storm”, a quality effort aimed at keeping his always grimy flow in the ears of hip-hop nation now that he’s left Def Jam. The metaphorical storm here is presumably Free’s upcoming album “The Stimulus Package”, produced by Jake One and due out sometime in the future, though if this is the “calm”, “Stimulus Package” must be one hell of an intense album.
On a side note, I’d like to congratulate Freeway the rapper for outranking “freeway” the transportation system on Wikipedia. That’s no small feat.
