Thank sweet baby jesus. When I first saw the title of Freddie Gibbs new posse cut "Oil Money" is was terrified Gangster Gibbs had finally given into the demands of mainstream radio and crafted some sort of "Arab Money" remix. Nope. While I'm not entirely sure why the track's titled "Oil Money", it's about as far from top 40 material as you can get.

While disturbingly named producer Blended Babies puts together a slowly haunting beat, Chuck Inglish of the Cool Kids, Chip Tha Ripper of the Cleveland Smokers, Bun B of UGK and Dan Auerbach of Who the F*ck is Dan Auerbach? join Gibbs on the mic to craft a smoking joint perfect for true hip-hop heads. As the hook says, this is a lullaby, not intended to make you cry, but make you open up your eyes. We're a long ways from "Pussy So Amazing".

"Oil Money" is off Gibbs incredibly anticipated EP, "Str8 Killa", due out via Decon on August 3.
