Finally Checking Out the Flatbush Zombies Via “When In Roam” (Listen & Download)

Posted by Nathan S. on 01/17/13 | Filed under Downloads, Flatbush Zombies

The Flatbush Zombies are one of those groups that I haven't really taken to time to check out, not because of anything to do with them, but because SWEET BABY JESUS THERE ARE SO MANY NEW RAPPERS!!!

But last night I heard their new joint, "When in Roam", and was sufficiently intrigued to do some ~~serious journalistic research~~ Googling. I quickly discovered that the original, surprisingly lyrical style displayed on "Roam" is more the rule than the exception for the Zombies. Plus, they don't take themselves too seriously; case in point, "Thug Waffle".

Huh, if "Roam" and "Thug Waffle" are any indication, I might end up really digging these dudes. I"m downloading their "D.R.U.G.S." mixtape now, let me know if you've already listened to a lot of them, and what you think.

In the meantime, enjoy "When in Roam"....
