E-40 is “The Server” (Listen & Download)

Unless you've lived in the Bay Area it's hard to describe just how important E-40 is there, he's like the hip-hop godfather. Which is why I was disappointed by his last album "The Ball Street Journal", which strayed too far away from his Yay Area roots. Well, problem solved. As we first saw in the video a couple weeks ago, his new single "The Server" has all the knock, slap and slanquistics life long fans expect from 40 Water.

The best part of "The Server". When 40 gets so lyrically off-kilter he even surprised himself: "Flea flickin' and fiddle faddlin (fiddle faddlin?)". That's right, he actually questions his own line in an ad-lib. Never a dull moment with 40.

"The Server" is off his upcoming album "Revenue Retrievin", due out March 30.
