Drake Swears “I’m Ready for You” (Listen & Download)

I'd make some excuse about posting a Drake track, but the stats show that RefinedHype Nation eagerly eats up anything with the name Drizzy attached, so I'm not making excused. A snippet of a new Drake track "I'm Ready for You" leaked in snippet form last week, but now we've got the final version. What more do I really need to say? Drake could literally poop on a new song and the world would listen and download it in huge numbers. Men lie, women lie, numbers don't lie.

Ok, you're right. This is RefinedHype and my brain's way too active to not drop some commentary (thanks meth coffee!). First the basics: the origins of "I'm Ready for You" are unclear. Thanks to hip-hop nation's aforementioned lust for new Drake, everything the man touches leaks, which makes it hard to track down a reputable source. Some say it's a "Thank Me Later" leftover (unlikely given its upbeat sound), others say it's a reference track for an unknown female artist. Honestly, no one knows right now, and if they say they do, their sources are dubious (they heard from a friend who read it on a message board etc.). Remember that alleged "No More Thank Yous" mixtape I called bullshit on? Exactly.

No matter the source, it's not that good, which I'm guessing is why Drake never officially released it himself. The singing's blah, the rhymes are ok, and other than that randomly dope sample of Nneka's "Heartbeat", the production's so-so. There isn't even a new addition for my "Drake Lines That Make No F**king Sense" series. Yawn.
