Common “Celebrate"s With Exotic Bratslavians, Or Something (Listen)

Don't get me wrong, I'm still stoked to hear Common's upcoming album "The Dreamer, The Believer". That shit has album of the year potential. It's just that I'm a little less stoked after hearing his latest release "Celebrate". I'm all for the good times, but after the next level dopeness that was "Sweet"? "Celebrate" ironically feels a little deflating. This isn't next level, it's same level.

I mean, for almost anyone else these rhymes would be top shelf, but for Common their average at best. "We partying / exotic Bratslavians / Spanish Somalians." Really Common? Really? That's what you decided to go with? In the immortal words of Vince Vaughn in "Old School": "Don't sorry me. You're better than that."

Oh well, they can't all be perfect. I'm still gonna listen to every note of this album when it drops on December 20. By the way, this is one of those No I.D. beats that Common or Kanye could have easily jumped on.
