Need an Antidote to Lil B? Check Out Chris Faust’s “Faust LP” (Listen & Download)

As you can probably tell by the artwork, and the name, Chris Faust is far from your normal rapper. For those not up on their European literature, Faust is a German legend about a scholar who sells his soul to the devil in exchange for all the knowledge in the world. In other words, his name is the exact opposite of Lil Boosie. Importantly though, the Brooklyn songwriter and emcee's new project, "Faust LP", isn't a collection of obscure literary references but compelling, intelligent music. I know, I know. Imagine that.

The "Faust LP" is presented by the mothership and the house of dope. Joining Faust throughout the set are Ibe, Mike Maven, Sunny Jones, Rocki Evans, Outasight, Cocoa Sarai, Capri, Krystal Eversley, Kris Kasanova and Carras Paton. Production comes courtesy of Ibe, Tristate, 6th Sense, 2 Thumbs Up, Clyde and Harry.
