Absolutely No One Saw Childish Gambino & Beck’s “Silk Pillow” Coming (Listen & Download)

Goddamn. I can't say much surprises me anymore - I wasn't even that shocked seeing The Artist Formerly Known as Tity Boi appearing on a Justin Bieber song - but yeah, I am a little shocked that Childish Gambino got Beck to do a song with him. And new release "Silk Pillow" isn't some bullshit feature, Gambino and Beck co-produced the track. Damn, ok then.

Honestly, I'm not sure this really works, but I've got nothing but respect for "Silk Pillow". Anyone who's ready to tell Beck he's a terrible rapper obviously hasn't been around since the "Loser" days - Beck's not a rapper. He's not even a rocker, he's just...Beck. Criticizing him for being weird is like criticizing Rick Ross for being fat; yeah, and? And Gambino really does some serious work on the mic here - hell yeah. I'll support anyone taking some real chances and since Beck is basically the literal opposite of playing it safe, I have to support this.

Gambino's upcoming project now has a name, "Royalty", but no set release date. Has to be soon though considering the rate he's leaking shit. Oh well, it'll happen when it happens. In the meantime, enjoy:
