Like “D.O.A.” and “This Is Why I’m Hot” before it, Drake’s new smash “Forever” has inspired an onslaught of freestyle remixes, and most of them, frankly, are pretty wack. So when the new “Forever Chicago Remix” came across my desk, featuring always quality Chi-Town emcees S-Preme, Bullet and LA, I felt it was my duty to post it so other rappers could hear what a quality remix sounded like. Consider it a hip-hop public announcement of sorts. And thanks to the good folks at GoWhereHipHop for sliding this over.
I don’t want to ruin the mood here, but as a born and raised Celtics fans I couldn’t leave without a comment on the cover art. That was an amazing block by Rose, no doubt, but…um….we won the series, in large part because Rondo averaged a triple-double. Sorry, I can’t help it, the NBA season’s almost here and I need to warm up my s**t talking abilities. It’s all love. Now back to the music.
