As if Azealia Banks sing-songy, rappity rap wasn't already confusing enough, the New York artist has released a new song which consists of her rapping. What's so odd about that? Well, just days ago Banks turned to her Tumblr site to inform fans that she no longer wishes "to be a rapper." (She also happened to "retire" from Twitter and fire her long time manager. So yeah, she's at least little nuts.) So do you see how there happens to be a seemingly never-ending amount of confusion when it comes to Banks?

Even though Banks now prefers the title of "vocalist" rather than "rapper," I honestly don't think she's that bad lyrically. But with songs like her newest release "Aquababe" her lyricism seems to be overshadowed by production that can only be described as being noisy. It's all over the place. And it's a bit difficult to concentrate on what someone's saying lyrically when there's 18 different sounds playing in the background.

Like a lot of people, I'm struggling with where to place Banks. Is she crazy over-hyped? Actually pretty talented? Both? (Or maybe she's just crazy.)
