When you run a site like RefinedHype you get a lot of emails - some of them balls crazy, some of them dope - and the one below thankfully falls into the later category. Completely unprompted Adam Takacs, one of RefinedHype Nation's Hungarian representatives, sent over a more than 2,000 word break down of why he was once the world's biggest G-Unit fan, and isn't anymore. It always amazes me when an independent artist puts out a free album better than some of these projects your favorite rappers are putting out. Just look at Big K.R.I.T. He's not an independent artist, but his free album "ReturnOf4Eva" is arguably one of the best releases of the year and it was free! The latest artist to release a stellar free album is none other than Brooklyn emcee Fresh Daily. Listen and download...

Serious moments are few and far between in RefinedHype Nation, but if I can be allowed a moment of non-ironic, non-sarcastic legitimacy, let's all take a minute today to listen to this new Bekay record, "Remember". In honor of Yom Hashoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day), "Remember", finds Bekay telling a gripping story of a family torn apart during the Holocaust, and the legacy such horrors leave behind. Everyone's favorite, and I do mean favorite, RefinedHype series, "Mystery Booty of the Week (MBOW)" is back. Is the series a shameless and sexist way to keep your eyeballs glued to RefinedHype? You bet it is. Do I hear any complaints? Yeah, that's what I thought. You know I had to start of 2011 with some truly epic booty, right?

It's only a matter of days before the release of Tyler The Creator's solo album "Goblin" and tracks are still continuing to be leaked with "She" featuring Frank Ocean being the latest. Tyler's an artist who a lot of people are on the fence with and "She" may have just put me on that fence. I feel kind of weird saying this, but maybe Tyler should leave the relationship raps to the LL Cool J's of the world and focus on rapping about murder and mayhem. See more...

I'm not going to front. While he was alive I didn't really realize how incredible Big Pun was. Sadly I only knew Christopher Rios from what MTV would play - the man's not a player, but he did crush a lot - so it wasn't until I got a little older that I took the time to dig back into the man's material and was thoroughly sold. I mean, "Twinz" alone is enough to place him on the best flows of all-time list. See more...

I'm not quite sure what it means when an artists freestyles on a mixtape are better than the regular tracks, but that's how I feel about Gilbere Forte's latest project "Philadelphia Freshman." If anything it seems like a good thing. It's definitely better than having a mixtape or album full of dope skits and awful tracks. Listen and download...
